not gonna be too hard on him, he's been irrelevant to this basketball season for weeks now. i'm more focused on the playoffs and let's be honest Davis was never gonna be a legit factor in the playoffs.

Considering they don't play same position and one team is better than the others it's tough.

I'll take Griffin right now. He's bigger and has a better outside game. Davis can pass him if he gains his outside game, such as Ewing had to do.

Blake Griffin was probably the most dominant player in NCAA for the decade.

So you're saying AD > KD?

What accomplishments does he have? ROY. No MVPs, no scoring titles, no rings, no playoff series wins.

Great player, great potential, but not the 2nd best player in the league right now. (I'm only talking to the poster who said he's already #2, not the #1@25 crowd)

Griffin is much better in open court than Davis. Davis needs to regain the coordination he had before he grew 8 inches.

It autocorrected and I changed it.

Idk, Blake has really stepped it up the past two years. He has become pretty deadly as a shooter. I'd like to see them have a shooting contest. Hell, they would have one mean game of horse

Not really passive aggressive Davis is IRRELEVANT right now. This is the conference Finals, big boy basketball. Time when the men are separated from the boys. AD won't be playing this deep in the playoffs for 4-5 years, if ever. Get used of your favorite player being irrelevant when the games matter most because nothing will be changing about that anytime soon.

It's close although I'd take Griffin. Guy had an amazing playoffs.

But if anybody thinks AD is the best player in the league, they are a damn fool.

By outside game do you mean shooting?

At several times throughout the season AD led all players in "catch n shoot" shot percentage just ahead of Korver.

AD did shoot mid 20% from outside 16ft his first two years but shot nearly 50% this year.

I trust his outside jumper and ft shooting much more than Blake's.

Disclaimer: Again, not at all am I trying to downplay Blake Griffin's talent or importance to his team.

AD
- 3ft to < 10ft - 44.1%
- 10ft to < 16ft- 45.8%
- 16ft to < 3pt - 41.9%
- Jumpshots - 42.7%

Griffin
- 3ft to < 10ft - 38.5%
- 10ft to < 16ft - 38.5%
- 16 ft to < 3pt - 40.4%
- Jumpshots - 38.7%

And AD shot more Jumpshots as well. Griffin has improved from the outside, but he's still not that good from there. AD has a better outside game already and it will only get better.

Griffin is a better passer though, but AD did average 3.5 assists the last 2 months of the season when teams started to double team him. His passing will improve. But AD is better at everything else and is a better player.

If Griffin was a Pel this board would claim he was the 3rd 4th best in NBA.
