I'm LSU until I die but trying to be a realist. Anyone think Chubb is better than BUGA? I'm not saying that just yet. I've always heard the hype and just watched Chubb's highlight tape for the first time, and it's pretty impressive. He hits the hole super fast, has great vision, and seems pretty hard to bring down. Thoughts?

Chubb's stats were a little better, and he played like he had something to prove. Fournette started slow, but got better as the year progressed.

It's really hard to say based on one year of work.

Yeah I think Chubb just "got it" faster. Hopefully BUGA shuts down the debate this year.

Chubbs start was better but the race is still two years from over. Youre trying to crown a winner based on the first leg of the relay.

Chubbs stats were MUCH better.

I just think LF7 could do the same thing in that offense. Give me the Buga.

Chubb had a better freshman year, but I think Fournette has a higher ceiling and will outperform Chubb over the next two years. Both are absolute studs, though.

LF touched the ball 218 times for 1786 yds.

NC touched the ball 237 times for 1760 yds.

Now, those numbers aren't entirely fair for Chubb as they include LF's special teams contributions.

Therefore it can be argued that NC was the better offensive player last year, while LF was the better all purpose player.

No one can deny Chubb had a better year. I think Fournette has the better future, but my reasoning is based on the offense they both play in. Chubb had a QB pass for 68% completion rate and who threw for 21 TD's and only 4 Ints. LF had one that passed for 49% completion rate and who only threw for 11 TD's against 7 Ints. Not playing against 8 and 9 men boxes generally helps a RB. Both of these guys are going to be greats though. Could see 2 RB's drafted high for the first time in years when they come out.

If the teams played, the game would be nicknamed The Uga Buga Bowl.

Gonna sound bad, but Chubb. Just look at the incredible numbers Chubb put up. It's not like UGA had a great passing game to go with it either.

Chubb is built to be a RB.

Honestly? They're about equal. Probably get a slight edge to Buga. They were running Chubb thirty times a game as one point. Where as LF got like what.. 5 carries against Arkansas. Great comparison. :(

Second this. You can't take anything away from Chubb, but I'd rather have Buga

The implication being that Fournette isn't?
