Garrison Brothers whiskey

I'm not sure I would buy it again for the price, but I really enjoyed it. Certainly wouldn't say it was a bad whiskey.

I haven't tried the 25 yet, but I drink the Laphroaig 18 as one of my go to islay single malts and love it.

Do you like other Islay scotch?

Some. I find Laphroaig to be singular in its offensiveness, though. It takes like smoke-infused oil.

Pretty much my sentiment. 70-90 bucks a bottle is a little overpriced for such a young whiskey, just my opinion.

I once had some of that Louisiana-made absinthe. Stuff was horrible, and it sells for $60 a bottle. You can get some damn good bourbon for the same price or less.

That triple distilled red label Taaka aint bad. Its about 3 times the cost of the regular rot gut Taaka.

Not that it is high dollar but Cointreau is usually a top shelf liquor and I find it to be pretty horrible. It always coats the palette and leaves a lingering and pretty bad after-taste for a long time. Really ruins a good margarita or cosmo.

this seems to be trending towards a liquor only discussion, but for beer discussion, Chimay = overrpriced IMO
and Mikkeller is typically overpriced for the quality

I guess high dollar is relative.

1. Any vodka over $25/bottle
2. Any tequila. I know... I know..
3 As for bourbon, I would also choose Garrison Brothers. Has a very odd taste. BTW: Your're wrong about Blantons.
4. Glenfiddich 21 year. Not any better than the 18.
4. Any scotch aged less than 15 years.
5. Benchmark scotch... Oh wait... It's $8/bottle
6. Any spirit flavored with anything that doesn't belong (fruits, spices, extracts etc.).

I tried two glasses straight-up, and if it weren't for the gaudy bottle I'd swear I was drinking $15 bottom-shelf whiskey flavored with wood chips.

Who the hell rips Blanton's? lol.
