Worst High-Dollar Booze?

My wife bought a $55 dollar of Blanton's bourbon for an in-law who was visiting town and raves about the stuff.
I tried two glasses straight-up, and if it weren't for the gaudy bottle I'd swear I was drinking $15 bottom-shelf whiskey flavored with wood chips.
What's your nominee for the most disappointing high-dollar booze?

you clearly dont like american whiskey/bourbon if you think Blanton's is "bottom shelf flavored with wood chips"

Anything Crown Royal makes...... And Blanton's is great, the OP must not have much of a refined palate

Absolutely. It's considered one of the best single-barrels in that price range. You are definitely in the minority in your opinion of it.

Maybe you should stick with Old Crow whiskey. That seems to be more your speed.

Yeah, I hate pretty much hate all scotch, but love most all bourbon.
