Is there any better experience than the birth of your 1st child?

My first born arrived recently so I'm running on about 8 hours of sleep over the past 96 hours. He's been crying for almost the past 10 hours but I'm absolutely loving this. Every single moment of this is the best moment of my life.
To experience pure happiness like this is very rare, I'm sure. Knowing what I know now, I don't see how anyone in their right mind could not want kids.
Just wanted to tell the OT that TDsngumbo is now officially a daddy.

No. It's life changing in a way nothing else is.

Enjoy the moment you're in. It doesn't come often.
Now multiply the love you feel x's 10. That's the
rest of your life, dad.
My first born (daughter) turned 1 last week and I can honestly say that every day is a new joy.
Wait till he learns to mumble da-da. Nothing else will matter in the world.
It's a beautiful ride, hang on man.

I haven't had my first kid, but I do remember that delivering my first child was a high that lasted much longer than I thought it would. I can only imagine how much better it was for you. Congrats.

My first born arrived recently so I'm running on about 8 hours of sleep over the past 96 hours. Its 2:40am and I'm sitting in my living room with him on my chest trying to calm him down. He's been crying for almost the past 10 hours but I'm absolutely loving this. Every single moment of this is the best moment of my life.

I watched the entire birth. At first I didn't want to but then I saw the head and I was mesmerized. It was and is the most beautiful thing I can imagine exists in this world that we live in.
Just wanted to tell the OT that TDsngumbo is now officially a daddy.
Congrats, man.
ETA for upvotes: You're obviously white.

Congrats Man!!!!!
Sounds like you will be one of the good ones!
My first is due Sept 22nd. I can't wait man. Every day I get more and more anxious and he is only 17 1/2 weeks along. Found out he was a boy last week. I am giddy right now. I want him to get big enough to start kicking and punching so I can play with him through my wife's stomach somehow.
I would have loved a girl like nothing else on this planet. When I imagined having a daughter I always saw her as my sunshine.
But a boy is special to a dad in a different way than a girl. It's your line, it's a connection to your ancestors, it's a best friend, it's a hunting buddy, a golf buddy, a football buddy. You can teach him everything you have learned about being a man, from whoever taught you and whatever you learned the hard way. I can't wait to pass on my life's lessons, or those from my grandfathers and father. I want him to be better than me. Achieve greater, love harder, and actually use the tools God has given him. I love him more than should be possible at this stage. It is unimaginable that people abort something this far along. I've seen him yawn, rub his eyes, and kick while doing cartwheels. All thanks to amazing technology.
Ronan Artillery, can't wait to meet him.

Congrats TDs. It is an amazing experience for sure. Each day you will see that child do something it did not do the day before, which is also incredible.

Uh yeah, lots, seeing my wife shite while her vagina expands to unimaginable proportions while she yells, "you could never handle child birth" was truly awesome...

Congrats! I agree with you 100%. What is even better is each time she hits a milestone such as 3 months 6 months 12months etc, you will say to yourself I wish she would stay like this forever. It's more gratifying each and every time. Daughter is 2 years and 5 months today and is the greatest thing in my life.

I don't care who you are. Something emotional about that little shite crying and getting wiped off by the nurses... Makes you want to vow you'll never let anything or anyone harm them.
Congrats

while agree, do not think it will always be a bed of roses. it is hard, nerve racking and a very thankless, especially with girls

That first few days really is the best. no sleep, but frick it,'right?
The best way I can think to put it is that you can love the baby with no reason to hold anything back. You have no vulnerability with the child.
Eta but later they whine and cry all the time over some bullshite.
