9.3 29" out of Big Lake in June of 2004. Caught it fishing with Rusty Byler when he was working for HR&G. Didn't leave the dock till about 8AM. He was on some fish that were biting on an incoming tide over some shell and the tide was not set to start coming in till like 11AM. Wind was calm. I caught this pig about lunch time on plastic.

Now I feel like I need to brave the storms and hit the bay in search of a good trout. Will post some pics in the morning hopefully.

6 lb 14 oz 29" spawned out beat up trout caught on the East Timbalier rocks 1996. Live pogey the size of my hand.

Late 80's, East Timbalier Rocks, gulf side, straight out from the antanea towers (are these rocks and structure still there?). Live shrimp, never weighed them, but at least 6 that were 24-30" and had heads the size of a cantaloupe.

I'd take the heli hat off when you go over 20mph. You would catch some serious air.

Good thing his boat maxes out at 19

Got one at sea brook 27.5 inches right at 8 pounds in Dec on a mirrodyne. Total surprise as May/June are the months for the big girls usually. Friend caught a legit 7 pound trout in the marsh at Delacroix. I netted it and had never seen anything that big in that marsh before.

19 ft fricker. It'll go 40 mph without my dad in it.

Mine: 7 lbs., 27" (if I remember correctly), Tee Butte in mid May about 15 years ago, less than 1 ft seas, green water, on an LSU queen cocahoe. (Great trip. Caught 12 fish, but every one was over 4 lbs.)
About 7 years ago another guy and i caught two 6.8 and 4 right around 5 lbs. at Tee Butte all on LSU and glow/chartreuse cocahoes. Never came close to another day like that there again.

I caught my PB trout in late July 2013 in Baffin, 26" while wade fishing, didnt have a scale so no weight. About 3 hours after that I bested that fish with a 28" trout, again no weight. My measurements were imprecise given that I was using ruler taped to the rod.
I dont recall the color, but it was a trout killer bait. Knowing me it was either LSU, strawberry, or avocado.

you realize that 30" trout are 10 lbs right? Depending on when they have eggs there is a pretty good rule of thumb for trout...25" is 5 lbs and each inch is another lb
