I have been twice...but that was a decade ago...or more. I remember thinking the burgers were good but nothing to make it a go to place.

Who has been lately? Thoughts? I have a friend who wants to go with a group. How does it compare in quality to Mooyah, Five Guys, Maxwell's Market, and Brewbacher's?

I went once several years ago. I have no memory of what I ate or whether or not is was any good.

How big is the group? I doubt they are used to having to serve more than 8 people at a time.

I love their burgers, but the Baton Rouge Burger Mafia will be in here shortly to tell you how horrible they are and how Curbside is the only burger worth having.

Its okay but I can never imagine wanting to get a group of people to go eat there. The burgers are better than Brew Bachers imo but not as good as the others you mentioned

It's been a few years, but better than Mooyah, Five Guys, or Brewbachers. Never tried the burger at Maxwell's Market.

I'd put Times Grill in the second tier of burger joints. They will cook to order at least, from what I remember.

I don't work far from there and I pretty much avoid it. Good burgers, terrible service. I sit at the bar and have never been able to get decent service.

It's been at least 2.5 years since I've been and when I went, it had been since before I was driving or anything since I had last been.

I remember nothing about the food, but I remember the service being really horrible. Zealot was actually with us. Maybe he remembers the food.
If you were in the area and wanted a burger, I guess I could see the reason to go. Otherwise, I think I'd take a group of friends elsewhere. The place is pretty dead anytime I pass.

On that note, none of the places mentioned are place I'd take a group either. Not sure if that was the reason for putting them there or if you just really like their burgers.

I used to go there every now and then, but I think they've been outstripped in quality by the newer places like Mooyah, Five Guys, Fat Cow and Burgersmith. I also think the Rum House and Olive or Twist has hurt their after work drinking business.

Ate lunch there Monday. 2 hamburgers and 2 drinks =$4.00

Yea they said they had a large to go and it messed up the kitchen so we ate for free. Waited over 30 minutes and my Burger came out cold, hell the cheese wasnt even melted.
They have been hit and miss over the last couple years. Its a shame since I really enjoyed some of the food here.

I still think Brewbachers on Drusilla is still one of the best burgers in town. The others you listed are all good in their own ways and all are better than Times.

Hard to say on some of that. I've had a great burger from the Times, and then again I've been underwhelmed.

But they're always better than Five Guys, which has to be the most overrated burger establishment I've ever come across.

I am manager at universal plaza (the place where they rent out from) they did not renew their lease and plan on moving closer to LSU. Pretty good burger but not much else.
