For me, it was My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I only saw it because I heard it was so good from so many people. It did over $200 million, but after seeing it I just didn't get it. To me, it should have been called My Big Fat Greek Disappointment.

Most people or movie snobs on this board? I generally agree with popular opinion and disagree with the movie snobs on this board.

I'm sure we'll get a lot of Dark Knight Rises responses. It was universally acclaimed by critics and filmgoers alike, yet the movie snobs on this board believe it to be the worst movie to come out this decade.

Inception - although I didn't "hate" it. I just thought it was overhyped and meh. I've watched it 2 more times thinking maybe I missed something. No go.

Gravity - This I pretty much hated. Visually appealing with a bad script and terrible acting.

Frozen apparently. Amazingly pedestrian for all the whoopty doo. Boring and simple. It's no Lion King or Little Mermaid. I'll second My Big Fat Greek Whatever as well. Underwhelming even though Lainie Kazan in anything is usually money.

Ghosts of the Southern Wild

Awful but got a lot of undeserved love here because it was a local movie. The little girl's "acting" was limited to reading a script offscreen or monotonous and loud dialogue on screen.

I hated Inception. Marion Cottilard or however you spell it ruined it for me. I don't get how she keeps getting nominated for Oscars.

I hated Hurt Locker and wanted Avatar to win best picture that year. I only enjoy war movies that glorify it, like Patton or Braveheart. Not movies that show the psychological aspect of it.

I hated DKR because they took his wealth on the dumbest of pretenses. Like the NYSE would allow a trade to stand that occurred during a hijacking of the NSYE floor. I was ready to walk out of the movie then and there.

I hated Pulp Fiction and pretty much any Tarantino movie (Kill Bill was enjoyable though). He is way too gory for me usually, and I hate movies not in chronological order. I walked out of Flags of Our Fathers in the theater for this reason.

I didn't care for Fight Club and its anarchy, anti-capitalism message.

The Thin Red Line is my least favorite movie ever.

I hated Titanic because I have a penis that is attracted to women.

Dark City
Aliens
The Fifth Element

The first two I found decent but vastly overrated, but The Fifth Element is in my top 5 least favorite films.

I'd say Avatar, but that has pretty widespread hate, it just made 2 billion dollars. Gladiator, probably more so.

Truly loved films, I'd probably say:

Frozen for sure. Probably Cars. I hated every Pirates of the Caribbean movie after the first. A Beautiful Mind.

I'm fairly ambivalent towards Castaway.
