Mines been at home almost a year now. Wouldn't trade it for anything. It can be done on less than 90k. Just have to budget. She works part time at a mothers day out twice a week though. Our weekends are no longer filled with kids activities and grocery shopping and laundry and countless other errands. House is clean and hot dinner at least three days a week. She has more energy and is at home with our son and is either at home when our girl gets home from school or picks up carpool on her week.

If she's gonna mess around she's gonna do it whether she works, stays home or is tethered to you 23 hours a day.

If I could stay at home, I would learn how to cook, exercise more, and clean the house more.

I have a "stay at home wife" right now, in that she doesn't work, but she's a full time student. When she's done with school she'll work and probably still work part time after we have kids.

You're supposed to have a stay at home wife if you have kids. If you don't, you are... well, nevermind.

A good friend has a stay at home wife. She has put on 30+ lbs over a few years. Treadmill collecting dust. Now they do have a baby, so at least he's saving money from not needing daycare.

my wife stays home since our daughter was born. I wouldnt have it any other way. thinking about someone else basically raising our kid and neither of us seeing her for more than a few hours a day just never sat well with me.

My husband seems to think he has one...

I told him when he makes enough for me to handle everything I will. Until then, he has to help.

He has very unrealistic expectations.

#1 reason why my wife has stayed home with our children since our firstborn, and will likely do so until they are all in school. I miss her income, but driving a Honda instead of a BMW isn't much of a sacrifice.

Buncha ballers in this thread

I don't think I could be one. My engineering degree would be burning a hole through my wall.

Accordingly, perhaps I could have a stay-at-home hubby.

Where would you ever find one of those?

If you are 100,000 in debt to get that degree, sure. But otherwise, why feel compelled to work just because you are educated?
