I keep seeing that debated here and there. At 18-7, this team is IN as of right now. Yeah, if they inexplicably lose the rest of their games, they won't make it. But, they are going to make it.

Now, we're just playing for seedng. The selection committee will not keep this team out.

There is still a good bit of basketball in front of us.

No. They don't need to lose all of their remaining games to get out. Odds are good they make it, but it's not a done deal.

With losses to awful teams like MSU and Missouri nothing is guaranteed.

They're in the 50's in the RPI right now. That's squarely on the bubble. Stop looking at the record. If they don't finish with at least 11 SEC wins the committee will most definitely have reason to keep them out. They're non-conf SOS is terrible. They've got plenty of opportunity ahead of them, but are by no means a "lock"

If LSU puts in three games in a row of winning at Tennessee and A&M then beating Florida at home they'll be solidly in the tournament when the Monday bracketologies come out on Feb 23. Pretty huge stretch right here.

@A&M is a big game.

As of right now, I agree.

But let's not get carried away. The last 3 games have been impressive, 2 wins, 1 loss by 2 points to #1 undefeated UK.

The 2 games prior? Loss @MSU, loss at home vs. AU.

LSU needs to continue the trend of playing high effort of the last 3 games. If they go back to Hyde, then they could go 3-3 or worse ROS.

Are you capable of understanding that all it takes is a few small conference teams to upset their major teams (SMU, Butler, VCU, Wichita State, Northern Iowa, etc) in their conference tournament to keep LSU out. It happens every year. LSU is far from a lock.

LSU is a bubble team at best right now. Hope they make it though.

Are you saying that if the season were over today, LSU would be in?

Or, are you saying that only a complete collapse would keep them out and that .500 the rest of the way would get them in.

Please. They have to win most of their remaining games to get in, and then yes, they will be playing for seeding. This team is not a lock though, far from it. As of right now they are likely in. That said, they still have to close strong to gain a bid.

Win the home games and beat auburn on the road and they're in.

I hope we stay right where we are, unless we win out through the SEC tourney we wont break a 7 seed which means going to the sweet sixteen would be much more difficult as a 7-10 seed. Id like a 11 or 12 seed to be honest.

Hell no. Not a done deal.

We go 5-1 and win 1 in SECT we are in.

4-2 we may be in with 2 wins in SECT.

3-3 we need make the SECT finals and pray small conference #1 seeds win their tourneys.

Firmly on the bubble with anything less than 5-1 .

This team is far from the tourney at this point. They are down to a margin of error of two losses in my opinion. Lose three more and they're out.
