Houston may lack character but so does 90% of major cities.

It's a bit too spread out and all that, but being a major city there is tons to do which is always a bonus in my book. And really, I just need a place with things to do so I don't off myself.

I guess in the end it's a wash.

New Orleans...locals will try to pass off their crime and filth by calling it culture or something but the place is kind of a dump.

Fun place to party though. May be going in a couple of months to have a nice bender

Both Denver and Austin are overrated. Not that they are terrible cities, it's just people act like they are the end all be all of cities and rate them so extremely high.

Austin is so full of itself. "keep Austin weird" is pretty gay.

The fact that they copied that from Portland makes it gayer.

Lake Charles was nothing as advertised, FWIW.

Oddly never been to either. Flew through Denver once on the way to Vegas and it did look like a pretty awesome location.

I will admit I have a great affinity for "The West."

Going to probably hit up that area a lot here in the next few years.

For me probably San Francisco, Miami, and Austin.

I actually like SF and Austin, I just don't like them as much as other people, so I think they are a bit overrated.

I don't really get people saying stuff like Houston and Jacksonville. I'm not a fan of either of those cities, but I feel like hardly anyone else is, so they are not overrated, they are correctly rated.

Orlando. Simply saying Orlando is "okay" is an ignorant exaggeration.

But Orlando isn't overrated. Everyone knows its hell on earth.

It's kind of like In n Out....people expect too much and it's kind of a letdown.

I enjoy Denver but I've been visiting since a kid. The state is almost as cool as Oregon in terms of my hobbies and what I like to do.

I don't have to leave the state for anything. There's not much that exists elsewhere that I can't do here. In terms of hunting/fishing it's just a change in species.

It's not overrated. If anything it's gotta be underrated with as much shite as people give it.
