Have you ever turned down a job that offered more money than your current one?

I work for a company with A little above average pay for my position. I've been offered by two other companie the past 12 months( that are in the same industry) for more money, I turned both down because I like the people that I work for. Today I had another company offering me about 25% more pay then what I'm making. We ( my wife and I ) both make decent money and are part owners in a small business. We are not OT rich though ....would you leave for more money ,knowing that the job that you were going too is more stressful and you wouldn't be as happy?

I left a good job last month for twice the pay (twice!) and am regretting it. The people I work with now are psychopaths- money can't buy everything

Three times in the last year. It isn't easy, but I keep believing I am on the right path.

I have. A job is simply a job; there will be others.

I've been trying to hire people for the past two weeks. Nobody wants to relocate for more money. Silly people.

Yea. About 20% more than current.
Wasn't worth the risk

I took a small pay cut 6 months ago, ~$10k/yr, to work with a stud boss I hope I can learn a ton from (It's up to me, he's obviously got it). Hopefully in 6 months I can get back that and more, but setting myself up with skills to keep me on top is the most important thing. I'm 40. The money will come if I abandon the search for it and get as sharp as I can. I found the smartest person in my field and he's taken me under his wing. Worrying about compensation without worrying about how good you are is worthless unless you're 55 or a doctor.
My last company laid out a stupid offer to keep me, so yea. I turned down a large pay difference for something better. Life isn't about money, but it is for us shlups, about working.

I was hired by a company and was literally going to fill out my paperwork with said company. In route to fill out my paperwork, I receive via cellphone another job offer making more money. I simply told the second company that I was keeping my word and commitment to the first company. I'm happy with my choice.

No. Bc no company has offered. But I'm worth every penny. I'm a jack of all trades, a lingual chameleon, a great IT guy and a jerk to boot. I could sell ketchup Popsicles to a woman in white gloves.
