I agree that these are the top 5. The order can be debated with legitimate arguments in any order, IMO.

Westbrook is playing better than any PG at the moment.
But based on the entire season, I'd go:
1. Paul
2. Curry
3. Westbrook

When they come back down to earth? That was already "supposed to happen" during this last 5 game stretch. Hell, most of us would have been ecstatic with a 3-2 record, but the fact that we went 5-0 is HUGE and it shows just how good this team is when fully healthy and with Bud at the helm. Just FYI, I was not serious about Teague. He's playing really well, but he still has to prove that he isn't afraid to become the floor general out there. His game is there, but his mentality is not.

This plus Lillard at 4, parker at 5. In 3 years I'll take Lillard over RW, hell I might right now.

I always wish Paul had the talent around him in his prime to see if he could buck the "traditional PGs don't win" myth. He's had one legit chance his entire career before very obviously losing a step to injury (don't believe me, look up 07-08 Paul).
If I had to take 5 PGs into the playoffs with me I'd go Westbrook, Lillard, Curry, Paul, Parker in that order.

That's a good debate. I think I'd go 1a and 1b is Curry and Westbrook, and 1z is Lillard. So close.

I'm a big Lillard fan, but he may score 40 while his man scores 50. He gave up a 40 point game to George Hill, George fracking Hill...
His defense keeps him out of my top 5.

1. Curry
2. Westbrook
3. Wall
4. CP3
5. Kyle Lowry
Next group would be Lillard, Conley, Tony Parker, etc.
I'm a huge Lillard fan, but think he's actually more of a SG guard than a PG. He averaged 5.3assists last year and right over 6 this year. Not bad by any means, but would like to see him be in the 7-8range. I do like that he's shooting much more efficiently this year, below 43% these last 2 years to over 46% this season. And his steals are up, below 1.0 per game the past 2 seasons to 1.5 this year. So he's improved this year. Still not a great defender but is better. If he keeps this up he will be in my top 5 list soon.

I like how this board relies on basic stats lines to argue their cases.
A true PG has to facilitate and help his team's in ways that don't mecessarily show in the assist column.

Make a case for John Wall over Chris Paul. You're clueless

That was last season. He has been much, much better defensively this season.

FWIW, his defensive win shares have actually slightly decreased from last season to this season.
