I feel like this program is Greek to most college students. I was fortunate enough to realize that I should pay close attention to everything in the one GIS class I was required to take while at LSU. It has paid off big time.

It will. Everyone is moving towards it. I know our department is getting a big overhaul to it. I love it. Although I am waiting on a Data Transfer to finish while on TD.

For civil engineering, it should receive equal time to cad application exposure imo, especially with the ever increasing integration of the two.

I agree with this, I am very glad I studied it while in school. Though I wish I could stay more up to date on the things I learned that I don't utilize everyday. It's errors and crashes can be very frustrating though it seems much more stable now than it used to be.
