First US player to play in 4 World Cups. The way he reinvented himself this last cycle to get back into the national team picture took a lot of work.

My first favorite American players. Needless to say it was a love hate relationship for a while, but he found a way to bounce back and really finished his career off strong. He's a player that younger players should look to for advice (mainly players struggling in Europe).

This is so weird for me. 2002 is the first World Cup I remember watching... I don't know the USMNT without DMB....

Where do I start? Honestly I never thought this day would come, representing my country has been the greatest thing I've done in my career. Everytime I've pulled on OUR colors I tried to represent myself, my family and my country with the utmost respect.(and obviously tried to win) With that being said, I have officially retired from the U.S. Nat'l team. I've been blessed to be apart of the ussf family for 17yrs. I have so many memories from when I started with the U-15 nat'l team all the way to the men's team. I've met so many great ppl along the way I wouldn't know where to start. To all my coaches and teammates, I just want to say thank you, thank you for making me the player I am and the man I will be in the future. I will never forget all the games, friendships, memories we all shared. One thing I hope you all will say about me is that I was a good teammate and ALWAYS left everything on the field when I played. And lastly I want to thank ALL the fans that have supported me and the U.S. Team, without you guys we wouldn't be where we are today! Thank you all!!!

Dang, all the "old guard" guys hanging up their red, white, and blue cleats gives me the sads.
I love DMB, even if he did look like a homeless guy we picked up on the way to the stadium in Brazil.

Damn, the two kids from the 2002 squad have now retired. Beasley was awesome and it sucks to see a lot of the old guard retiring (from the national team).
Most UCL goals of any American
Only American to play in four World Cups
I hope he finishes out the rest of his career strong with Houston and then comes to Atlanta in 2017 for another season.

Can we just go ahead and make this jabroni the dumbest poster of the year?
DMB, you're a legend. Not many can say they've played in 4 World Cups.

Nah, nothing beats a year's worth of TNBhoy's work. That takes effort, and he deserves to take home the prize.

I still remember going to the Mexico game in Houston years ago, and we played Beasley up top. Final score was 0-0.
LOVE ME SOME DMB. He was clutch this year, especially considering so many of us were worried. Hell, I convinced myself that Timmy Chandler was good and could take his spot.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)
