Well, when people talk about the government funding education, we are generally talking about... well... the government funding education. Not privately paid tuition.

What McGrath would you have done? Would you have maintained the subsidy and if so how? Would you have raised taxes? Why not offset the subsidy with user fees--ie tuition increases? Sounds logical to me.
Tuition is still very cheap at a Louisiana school.
