Julius Peppers would have been Charles Oakley had he taken the NBA route out of North Carolina.

I'm not saying he's right (I seriously doubt he is the best hoops player in the league), but you wouldn't think that he was one of the greatest players to ever play in Tiger Stadium based on his physical stature either.

Peppers is a much much better basketball player than Graham.

Played ball with the badger in the rec before. He is, to put it mildly, full of shite. I doubt he's the best on his own team.

If Tyrann said it, I beleive it. He's got a special gift to perform beyond limits and expectations and can do whatever he sets his mind to.

Corey Webster would have tore Mathieu up on the basketball court.

Kenny Lofton was an athlete.

And i can't believe 5'8" Barry Sanders could dunk.

Mathieu and AI are not comparable in any way, and Drose is 6" taller than him. Nothing about Mathieu's basketball skills compare in any way to those 2.

He's an athlete and can play basketball. Doesn't mean he can play at any level near to the best NBA players or even bench role players.
If any NFL player could, they would. NBA contracts are 100x's better than NFL's as well as having longer average careers compared to the NFL.
The average NBA player will make 4x the average NFL player over their careers.
Mike James is a terrible basketball player, barely a double digit scorer at best, yet had one decent season on a bad Toronto team and turned it into a gauranteed 4 year $25million deal at age 31.

It's not common for 5'8" guys to be able to dunk.

Dunking is mostly about leg strength, not height. Barry had tree trunks for legs.

We’ve got our hands full, though, because there are a lot of great tandems in the NFL with the guys in Seattle, New Orleans

Tyrann used to get shite on in the UREC while he was here. He's just quick with no ball skills, must have been high during this interview.
