I want an undefeated FSU to drop out of the top 4 to see Danny Kannell lose his mind on national television.

florida state should move back to 3 with a win this weekend, so that's not really a big deal.

At this rate the BCS was much better than this committee bullshite.

I don't care how a team looks....if they are the defending national champions and are undefeated they should be number 1 ahead of teams who couldn't win.
And TCU being ranked ahead having lost to Baylor....

Also, FSU is getting fricked

You schedule Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, and Florida as ooc opponents, you deserve credit regardless if the games "were close" and those teams are down.

Fail to see how Bama is justified as the #1 team with one loss, while FSU is undefeated and #4.

eta: On second thought, FSU at #4 might be better off than at #3 because of the regional Sugar Bowl game.

If everything plays out this way Alabama vs Florida State is going to be one hell of a football game. Elite talent will be everywhere on that field.

I wouldn't mind watching the CFB scene burn this weekend with this scenario.

Mizzou beats' Bama

Zona beats Oregon

TCU beats ISU

Baylor beats KSU

GA Tech beats FSU

OSU beats Wisco

1. Baylor/TCU Vs. 4. 'Zona

2. Baylor/TCU vs. 3. OSU

The SECRant would break down.

I wonder if Arizona will jump Ohio State and Baylor if they beat Oregon?

This has turned into figure skating, FSU at 4 is pure horseshite. I don't like them either, but the precedence of this is that winning the game doesn't even matter.

While this is just window dressing with the huge slate of games this weekend, there's still a couple of interesting points here imo.

- If Arizona upsets Oregon, they're in, right? (In order to make this question at all interesting, assume Alabama and FSU win this weekend.) You figure they have to be ahead of Oregon if they pull that off, which means only leapfrogging two of FSU/OSU/Baylor with the most impressive win of the weekend.

- Could Ohio State jump FSU if the top 3 stay the same, FSU has another unimpressive win and OSU rolls Wiscy with their 3rd-string QB?

- Why is Baylor getting so much scorn from the committee? Their resume and TCU's is nearly identical, with the big divergence being that Baylor lost to WVU but won the head-to-head. It seems to me that rewarding a better loss over both head-to-head and (if both Baylor and TCU win out) a conference title* is a little ridiculous.

(*: I know the B12 has said they won't hand out a title until after the final rankings, but come on, it's not like the committee won't be able to tell who the conference champion is when they have all the game results from this year and the conference's tiebreaking procedure in front of them.)

The whole TCU/Baylor thing is a travesty.

I imagine the committee dropped Florida State to 4 for no other reason than to regionalize the matchups to help with ticket sales and travel.

People keep forgetting fan bases will have to take two expensive trips in about a week and a half.

Alabama/Florida State in the Sugar Bowl and Oregon/TCU in the Rose Bowl helps with that.
