in SF for a visit after being away too long.

So far:
Hog Island Oyster Co. - had to give it a shot; crowded and not cheap but very good.

Prospect - same people that are behind Boulevard; very good food but not crazy about the vibe

Chez Panisse - Alice Waters continues to be at the top of her game

Tonight we're going to Aziza. Morrocan restaurant recently a Michelin star. I'm in the mood for lamb.

More detail to come. I know you're on the edge of your seats.

you absolutely have to go to tadich grill in the financial district. best oysters Rockefeller I've had, and the Chilean sea bass still gives me a boner to this day.

Too fancy for me. You're likely missing most of the best food in SF.

Went to Aziza about 3 weeks ago and had the tasting menu. Did you like it because ours was a little underwhelming? Probably should have ordered off the menu instead.

Went there last year with my son. I highly recommend it.

If you have another dinner slot, try la folie.

It's excellent, tasting style menu where your options are ala carte. Escargot cooked inside a veal shank bone. Lawd it be fine.
