Amazon Prime is a steal at $50. I think that was the only thing I purchased on Prime Day.
Was that this last prime day? I would have jumped on that but didn't see it. Maybe because I wasn't a prime member yet?...

Are the benefits of Amazon Prime (besides shipping) worth it? - pongze
I got prime to take advantage of the pricing of the fire tv on prime day. I also got an echo and a tap and have enjoyed using them. I planned on canceling prime when the first month was up, but I'm debating that now. Besides the shipping benefit, what have you otherwise found that you like that j...

re: Anyone with opinions on paint protective finishes for cars? - pongze
It will fade in sunlight and discolor to a yellow and you won't be able to polish out any marks that are left behind.
When you say fade, does that mean that it won't have a glossy finish anymore? I'm glad you mentioned this as this means we probably won't go with a film....

Anyone with opinions on paint protective finishes for cars? - pongze
My wife just got a new vehicle and is wanting to protect the paint job. I've been reading a lot about xpel. We are considering just doing the front end and mirrors, mainly to protect from rock damage and such. She is wondering if there would be any noticeable difference in appearance from a protecte...

re: Brett Laxton in 1993 - pongze
If I recall correctly, he was the Sunday starter most if not all of the year, and I believe those games were all 7 innings. I forget if it was because back then they would play a Saturday game and then a Sunday doubleheader, so the later Sunday game was shortened. I remember going into the CWS him b...

re: Orange Co. CA food recs - pongze
Give the pork soup dumplings (xiao long bao) at Din Tai Fung at Southcoast Plaza a try (it's in Costa Mesa). All the food there is good, actually, but that's what they're known for. Get some bread from 85 degrees bakery on Alton Parkway. As for what another poster said about the Vietnamese fo...

re: I've given up on making mac and cheese - pongze
So I just tried making mac and cheese from scratch for the first time today. Everything was going lovely, until it came time to eat. The cheese sauce on top still looked nice and creamy but inside it was grainy. Researching it a bit, it looks like a number of things can cause this. For me, it rem...

Friends, public service announcement here: I stopped eating pink burgers in medical school, after learning about E.coli 0157, which can cause [link=(http://www.about-hus.com/)]hemolytic uremic syndrome[/link].
