re: What's the best after market lightning cable for iphones? - pongze
Another vote for monoprice here. It's easy for me, because I live fairly close to their home base. Their customer service exceeds Amazon, if you can believe that....

re: Best Band Move Ever. The MOB is brilliant. - pongze
their band director should be fired.
Unless things have changed since I was a student (almost 2 decades now), the MOB is a makeshift band full of volunteer students. If there is a band director, it may not even be a paid position....

re: PS Vue, LIVE Internet TV streaming | NFL Network and Redzone available - pongze
I took a quick look while away from home today and it appeared that I had access to a bunch of stuff that I didn't before, after doing the sign out/sign back in on home network thing. A few things were still mobile restricted but this was good to see...

Recommendations for Portland? - pongze
Hey peeps, any recommendations for Portland? Where to stay, restaurants, things to do? Traveling there for 3 days with my wife, but have never been there before and really don't know much about the city....

re: PS Vue, LIVE Internet TV streaming | NFL Network and Redzone available - pongze
I'm gonna check tomorrow to see my situation now, but I previously had everything mobile restricted away from home as well. Today, I actually set my slingbox back up so I can sling my roku, and hence PlayStation Vue, to my phone....

re: Home Theatre / HDMI / Basement Question - pongze
Thoughts?
Based on that, yes, either running 4 hdmi cables or using an HDMI switch would work. If you run 4 cables, just be sure that you get a TV with 4 inputs! I'm sure most new TVs do. Just remember your power cord, too....

re: Home Theatre / HDMI / Basement Question - pongze
I'm slightly confused by your question. Are you just needing to send one signal from the component closet to one TV, or are you wanting to send a signal to 4 - 6 different TVs? Running HDMI cables can be an issue depending on how long a run you require. For my house, when I had a cable box, I was...

re: WatchESPN App - Roku - pongze
I had the same issue (not sure if I got the exact same error code), trying it on my roku, an iPad, and my laptop. I think the issue for me is that my PlayStation vue plan doesn't include ESPNU, but does include regular ESPN and ESPN2....

re: People are super offended by this white dude's opinion on Pho - pongze
their cuisine sucks... sometimes i come home and it looks like the set of fricking "Fear Factor"... can't get with that fish sauce smell on everything...
Main thing that I take from this, trying not to be offensive, is that perhaps your wife should take some cooking lessons? Well...

re: Icecream in a Kitchenaid Mixer - pongze
I joined chefsteps either early this year or late last year. Yes, just $25 forever and you get access to their premium recipes. Their videos are pretty good. I think I watched the ice cream video sometime in the last few months and have been wanting to do it. In the town where I live, there's a supe...

Shrimp breaded with cornmeal - pongze
Does anybody bread their shrimp with cornmeal? I live in California, and good Cajun food is terribly hard to find. I was going to pick something up and saw a place nearby on yelp that someone said flew bread in from New Orleans every day. I looked at pictures and it didn't look like Leidenheimer'...

re: Health care in Great Britain: No surgery for you - pongze
In Britain, as with all other advanced nations, health care costs are significantly lower than the USA's. Also they live longer and have lower infant mortality. In sum, better care for less money. The quality of care in the USA as measured by longevity and infant mortality, is about on pa...

re: Is sling TV the best "non cable" option? - pongze
So other than the PS4, what is the best and most family friendly interface for Playstation Vue? Roku?
I like Roku's interface for Netflix, but, hopefully, for Vue it will improve. It lacks a guide and it's difficult to tell how much you are fast forwarding on the roku. I hope that ...

re: Wide-angle "doorbell" camera options? - pongze
I had a ring doorbell but had to return it because it wasn't compatible with my existing electronic doorbell and I didn't want to go with the chime solution (plug in wireless chime). However, in the short time I had it, I recall an add-on for it that basically changed the mounting angle a bit, so th...
