Allen vs Auburn first road start = 277 YDS, 4 TD, 1 INT

Not trying to excuse Harris's first start in Auburn because he completely shite the bed. But TAMU did give Allen a warm up game against the little sisters of the blind. which he didn't exactly play well in but they still one. But it gave him some starting experience at home against a team they could beat no matter what the QB did or didn't do. Maybe we should have taken the same approach. Don't know if the outcome would have been different, but it's an argument.

Kyle Allen first start of his career @home vs ULM - 13/28 for 106yds. 1 TD, 1INT. Barely won too, 21-16.

And our running game vs Auburn was crappy too. It's much better now.

Exactly, that's why this year is a waste. Now we'll be back to square one next year.

You are right, but Miles tends to want to take the safe road and would rather have a QB "in his mind" not cost us the game rather than have a QB win us the game.

What I honestly don't think he understands or is too stubborn to take it into account that 8 for 26 for 76yds is costing us the game no matter how conservative his game plan is.

Win a lot of games!!! Isn't the goal to win CHAMPIONSHIPS?

It is, but you have to win a lot of games in order to do that

It's a blessing and a curse being a fan of a powerhouse program where winning a championship isn't a pipe dream, but an expectation. There are a lot of variables at play in order to do that though. I just try and enjoy the ride regardless. Rational fans knew this wouldn't be our year anyway.

You are probably right which is the worst part. Jennings is not going to bring any championships to Baton Rouge. With the SEC West being the freaking toughest division to play in and the teams being as strong as they are from top to bottom, we are going to need our QB to play up to those standards if we want to win the West. I am not saying to compete in the West I am saying to win the West which is the first goal we should want to accomplish each and every year.

The year is blown for better or for worse so at this point there is absolutely no reason Harris should not be getting at a minimum 50% of the snaps going forward this year. Then let see the competition in the Spring and Summer and see where things fall.

But like you stated "Jennings is our QB for the next 2 games" in all likelihood.

Actually that is excepting mediocracy, which I refuse to do. We have way too much talent on the LSU team and we pay our coaching staff way too much money to except mediocracy.

If Bama can contend year in year out for SEC and Naty Championships, of all schools with the instate talent in Louisiana, LSU should too. Every year, not every other year or every 2 years, each and every year LSU should compete for SEC and Naty titles.

Dude, The only time I've ever seen a more cowardly QB was Jim Everett, and on second thought, Lee was worse than Everett. Minus 2 passes at Alabama, indeed.

Beating a number 3 team, winning in the swamp, and potentially winning 10 games in a rebuilding year is mediocrity? You may need a new dictionary.

Do you have a signal that goes off anytime anyone disses Jefferson?

All we need is Salviati in here, and yall can have a JJ was a good QB circle jerk.

Yeah you mean "beating the #3 team at the time" but they ain't the number 3 team in the nation. I think they lose at Ark and to Miss St. so we will see where they end up. But they were #3 when we beat them.

winning in the swamp,

Winning in the swamp are you freaking kidding me, UF has had one good game this year and that was UGA, if we lost we should have been embarrassed.

Unfortunately or fortunately "whichever way you want to look at it" LSU plays in the SEC west and right now we are tied for 5th place with TAMU in the SEC west out of 7 teams. So yep that is MEDIOCRACY, and actually that is below mediocracy if you want to get technical.

quote:

in a rebuilding year

and I refuse to accept that we are rebuilding with all the talent we have at LSU, we don't rebuild we reload. So this one is on the coaches not the talent or rebuilding.

Coaches started Jennings for a reason. He's going to be the starter. Deal with it. Quit your bitching. You act like it was Jenning's fault we lost. He was the reason why we sustained that long 3rd quarter drive alive for like 12 minutes- that's LSU football. We keep the opposing offense off the field. It's not his fault Quinn and others dropped the ball. He put the ball in the right place. If you all want Harris to start, then Harris is going have to beat him out of practice. Otherwise all of you whiners can collectively shut the frick up.
