But...but...but the people that bought in when bitcoin was worth a fraction of a penny are now multi kajillionaires!

wiki laughs at this thread from atop his throne on his orbiting space station.

Made a few thousand mining, sold off my GPUs once power costs exceeded return, and then paid for my son's surgery. Not a bad run for me.

Not me. I know enough about history to have heard of tulips. Bitcoin is basically the same thing, and replication should be considered a foregone conclusion, regardless of the promised security and impossible infallibility.

Wiki isn't stupid, though. I'm sure he took a lot of profit off the table, and even if he still holds some, I'd bet that many were acquired when they were still a fraction of what they are now.

He disappeared when they were surging, after all, and not when they were falling.

Datpiff reports they caught the guy who was in charge of this deep web site where drugs were bought and sold everyday via bitcoins, and the FBI just caught him today. I'm sure some people lost bitcoins with this site, and this is just an example. I would never trust that shite.

Downvote.

I want Wiki to come back. He would be great on the Tech board and was generally an all around good poster.

He didn't cash-in after making enough to retire?

Bankers probably had a huge role in the crash
