Sidenote from the article: why did Damien James go awol? After that the 2002 season did just the same. Of course Mauck getting hurt was killer as well.

Saban announcing on Christmas Day was a classless, jerk move. There is no other way to spin it. LSU deserved better.
I had no problem with him leaving. It happens...all the time. But on Christmas day, at 5 p.m., really? How egotistical can one person be?
Saban and Alabama deserve one another.

I was working at Big Ten media day in Chicago in the late 90s. All of the Big Ten head coaches were assembling for a group picture. Every coach but Nick. He finally arrives 15 minutes late. Paterno says to Saban loud enough for quite a few people to hear, "Do you try to be an a-hole?"

Saban is a POS and if there was any justice in this world, Miles would have beaten his a-- on 1/9
Let's hope Miles shoves it up his a-- this Saturday night in Tiger Stadium on National TV

Th is sounds more like a reporter intentionally parking in Saban's spot to make himself the centerpiece of a story. People go apeshite if someone at their apartment complex parks in their spot. It sounds like Saban showed nothing more than mild aggravation - despite it being a reporter. And we know how much love coaches have for reporters. That being said, I still think Saban can be an a-hole - I just don't see it in this case.

Great story. Man, is Saban ever a horse's behind.

Most media types would have let that rest a long time ago. Media with grudges!
