Do people in your family call it a "chester drawers"?

It's chest of drawers, right? People in my family say "chester drawers" (and one even typed it out like that for a garage sale). What the hell? Is this a Southern thing or are they just dumb?

I grew up calling it a chester drawers.

Of course I was 10 before I realized that wrongsidouters was not one word.

My dad had to quit school in the 3rd grade to help raise the family when his mother died. My mother made it to the 7th grade before she had to go to work to help support the family.

I wish I had half the real smarts of those two people.

I didnt realize people still said that. I remember hearing that term when i was a kid but couldnt tell you the last time I heard that

Chest of drawers just sounds so formal......

It was always just called a dresser.

Judging by the spelling of accents in this thread, chest of drawers must be a redneck/Yankee/north of I10 thing
