So you heard it from someone who wasn't even there? Good source for accurate information!

Interestingly, Allen’s decision to transfer has nothing to do with football. Instead, it’s related to academics — specifically, the fact that he couldn’t get into grad school at LSU after receiving his bachelor’s degree.

If that story is true I'm sure they have more to it if Miles started cussing him out...

I think it was obvious by seeing practice videos that dude was always in the Miles doghouse and it likely stemmed around his lack of heart, effort and maybe attitude.

Well I'm standing by what was said. it just kills me when Internet tough guys bash players or former players when they don't have a freaking clue what's going in that situation. It's not like they will put out a press release saying " Miles cussed out player and said player is leaving team " boy that will go over well. It happened and Jordan moved on so need to bash the guy or any other player .

Why would a player and his parents do such a thing?

You know you're a DE. You know who else is a DE and thus who you have to beat in order to get playing time.

I find it troubling how many collegiate players seem to be transferring or quitting g if they aren't getting the playing time they think they deserve

The thing is he didn't quit because of playing time or lack of, he left cause our Coach started cussing him out for no apparent reason while his parents were sitting right beside him. I guess just for asking questions would be a reason to get cussed out.

Him and his parents went to coach Miles to see where he stood within the program and where Miles saw him playing as far as starting and playing time. Apparently Miles went off on him cussing and raising hell while Jordan's parents were sitting right beside him. Jordan got up and told Miles he knew where he (Jordan) stood in the program and he left and transferred to Zona. Take it for what it's worth but it came from someone I know that is very very close to the family. I wouldn't have believed it if I heard it from some where else. Now bash away if you want but I stand by what was told to me.

Calling bullsh*t on this story. It runs contrary to everything we know about Les.

quote:

The question: Why did you leave LSU? "It really was a big mixture — a gumbo pot — of things," Allen said in his deep, Cajun accent. You can take Allen out of Louisiana, but you can't take the Louisiana out of him. The 6-foot-5, 263-pound defensive end is out of his home state for the first time in his life. After four seasons and 17 career games at LSU, Allen — a native of West Monroe, La. — wanted a change of scenery for his final year of college....

From this article he wanted a shot at more playing time and master's in business (something he apparently couldn't get from LSU due to his grades - LOL!).

As I said earlier, he quit on his LSU teammates and now he has quit on his Arizona teammates, kid lacks heart, simple as that.

An MBA? Zona has a higher ranked program, that sounds fishy.

So, I was never any sort of college athlete or anything nor am I saying your story is false, but is it the norm for the parents of a redshirt junior, and college graduate, that got a lot of playing time to come to the school to have a group meeting with the coach?

First, I am not just talking about Allen but also they other player who is transferring because he slid down the depth chart as well as other players across the country doing the same thing. Secondly, even if what you claim is true about Allen's decision to leave LSU (which I doubt), he is quitting the Arizona team because of his reduced snaps. Lastly, the article from a UA publication states from an interview with him he did t have the grades to get into our MBA program.

Can't be an MBA, unless it's some specialezed MBA. The graduate transfer rule only allows the player to transfer to a school that has a program that his former school does not have.

So if I'm getting this right Jordan brought mom and dad in to see Coach Miles. Jordan asked him about his future with the program and Les started "cussin" him out right in front of his mom and dad. A family who lives in a town and went to high school at a school LSU actively recruits on a near annual basis.

Am I missing anything? Because this is fricking classic.

Miles is probably bipolar man.

It sounds to me you summed it up pretty well. The only thing you left out is the guy who said it happened that way heard it from someone who wasn't there.
