Its very different than PPR. Do you know why PPR exists?

Granted, a whole point per carry is a bit excessive, but the idea of awarding points for carries isnt that crazy. I could see something like .01 per carry. That way 10 carries would give you a point, but it would all be relative. If you did a full point, then your RBs would become more valuable and the league average score would go up.

$5 is a bit steep. I play in a league where it's $1 and that always adds up to a nice pot by the end of the season.

Transaction pot is separate and split evenly between 1st and 2nd place.

I think we do 3 bucks for waiver transactions. Haven't had any complaints in that league. Just makes the pot bigger.

That would give you a tenth of a point.

I did know it was $5 before the league started but it was my first time playing and my team was pretty stacked anyways. Now, with guys on byes and wanting to switch defenses it seems like a hassle.

The buy in for the league was only $20!!!

With $5 trx fee?

Yeah, that's a little out of line.

PPC is dumb anyway you slice it. There is a reason PPR exists, and it isn't just to hand out points for no reason. In the league I am commish in, your first 5 transactions are free, every one after is $1, and winner gets that pot. Last year it got about $130, but we used it to by a championship belt. It was definitely a pain in the arse trying to collect those fees after the season ended though.

My current league charges $5 to add a player, $5 for a trade, and $5 for a loss. Buy in is $100. Winner usually gets $1200 or so.

My prior league was $500 buy in. The charges were $25 to add, $25 to trade, and $25 for a loss. The winner would win $4000 or close to it.

I see complaints on this board every day about leagues where people don't care and do stupid things. If you charge for waivers and trades and losses, then you know up front that the group is serious to start.

We did a $1 transaction fee for years and finally did away with it this year. It was cool as the money went towards our end of the year party but it was a pain in the arse to keep up with and collect. We cancelled it this year and have moved to a $5 per loss fee that will go to the league party so it all works out nice. It's been a relief so far this year.

A per loss fee? Isn't that what the buy in essentially is for shite teams? Now bad teams lose their buy-in and have to pay for each loss.

why would you charge for that?

where does that money go?

this is honestly the dumbest shite ive heard since the guy in a points per carry league

Because it's more money into a pot

The money goes to the team that scores the most points during the regular season

No, it's actually pretty smart to implement because people don't just go on a crazy add/drop rampage every damn week

I would never play in a league that charges for transactions. I make too many moves. P

What I'm wondering is at what point do you just give up? I'm 1-3 in a 12 team league where 4 teams make the playoffs. I'd probably just say screw it and let it ride at this point if I were charged per transaction.
