Gonzales by Tanger?

Sadly no. Was a great place when I was in HS/college. Could eat lunch and not have to worry about eating for at least a day.

If memory serves correctly, there used to be a KFC in Gonzales back in the day.

I have a better idea to make a day. Go hit Kentucky Fried Chicken buffet in S Natchez on Hwy. 61 for brunch. Then, go up Hwy 61 or take trace to Lorman MS or Alcorn State exit (about 30 miles)to Mr. D's world famous fried chicken buffe. Mr. D's is the tits.

In the 90's (maybe a "little" into the 2000's- not sure), the Popeye's on the corner of Canal St. and Carrollton was a buffet Popeye's. Whenever it closed was the last time I enjoyed the Popeye's buffet experience.

Back in the day used to hit up the one on Williams and the one on Vets near Clearly. This is back when I was a kid. Fond memories. I thought they had all gone as none of the NOLA ones have a buffet anymore and they have gone to that stupid Louisiana Kitchen format.

Next time I'm in Laffy, I know where I'm going for Lunch.

Yes, that was the Lorman Country Store buffet I mentioned in one of my earlier posts. Good stuff.

Gonzales by Tanger? Do they still offer it?

Nope. The BASF maintenance crew killed that deal. Big Mike could eat three chickens in one sitting. Some of the older female locals would go and stuff their purses full too. Damn shame that went away but really for me it wasn't a good deal. I couldn't eat enough to justify the cost.

There still is a KFC. It's by Cabela's. I'll take Popeyes every time over KFC.

Used to eat at the one near Jesuit back in the day. Never could eat more than 4 pieces or so, despite being able to put down 10-12 slices of pizza at Gattis near campus. Never could figure that out.

Mother of god

I know where im going next time I'm visiting my cousins in laffy

I would seriously destroy the shite out of that. Fried chicken is one of those foods that I can eat a ton of. I've gotten two 3 piece meals before and still ate a blizzard afterwards
