I am emailing with the guy and sending him links to nearly identical 5-series in Dallas that are Brand new and advertised for less than their used version.

It will be interesting, what his response is.

You are a good guy for sharing information.

Heck, I may have to come visit you next time I purchase a vehicle.

thanks for the info. I updated my post. Is there a way to tell what the dealer paid or got for a trade in? I see a car that looks really good but have no idea what he offered.

I'm good, but not that good.

I can give a ballpark of what the vehicle cost them (new vehicle)....but trade in is locked down to each dealer.

Coach G, can you help me with these two cars:

1) 2015 Volo S60 R-design, Platinum package with climate, blind spot and technology packages. Slightly used. Listed at $43,900 but I think it can be had for around $38,000

2) 2014 Audi S4, Premium Plus. 16k miles. Listed around $50,000 but I don't expect it to go for any lower than $45,000 because of low supply.

You are the MAN!

As someone who has driven 3 different Volvos, stay away. Unless you are buying under warranty and getting rid of it before it gets to about 80k miles

Sorry, gotta disagree. Own two, both are 10+ years, 150K+ miles. Completely trouble free until the last 20K. BUT, these are the "old" Volvo. Dunno what recent quality/build is like.

$39,899.00 for Volvo (Yes, Get Warranty)

I usually cant hit Audi right. There supply is so up and down. But my educated guess would be 46,800.00.
