I am considering a lightly used, CPO, 2014 535 with under 10k miles. With the 2015's already out, what type of discount (%) would you expect on this car?

Sticker (MSRP-brand new) : About 67k

Approx. Cost New now, considering it is 2014 & not 2015 model: About 62.5k (based on kbb etc)

List price on used lot: 62k

Is it ridiculous to think that the actual "value" of this car is closer to 52k?

Please refrain from judgments on car choice & Thanks for your help.

Duck...normally those two vehicles would range from 54.5k to 56.5k.

They're asking too much.

Sometimes yes; sometimes no.

What are you getting offered?

Coach, where do you pull your values from? I see you usually are able to give a value on any make.

I see what that specific vehicle is selling for in the current market (South LA)

I usually give a range simply because I'm not 100% on each Manufactures specials at the time. But, I can come pretty damn close.

Do you have an internal system that does that or are you just taking data on cars.com, auto trader, etc..???

Internal. Those 3rd party sites are ok as a tool; but they definitely are off at times.

Many thanks, hopefully they will be somewhat reasonable, but I am in no hurry.

Seems as if the owners purchased that vehicle; then hated it and traded for something else quickly. So...they put a huge amount into his trade to satisfy him...thus needed to sell it for higher. But...thats not your problem so let them know

Coach, on a related note, what type of discounds from MSRP are you seeing on new 2014 5-series & audi A6? Same question for the new 2015s?

What do the new 2014 Toyota Prius look like? I see some pretty cheap on cars.com and truecar gets low but the local dealer is trying to stay real close to sticker price
