I would rather LSU not hand out tickets to corporations and boosters who only have a fleeting interest in LSU. These people are fed with silver spoons and the only reason they come to the game is to act as if they wield some imaginary power over the affairs of LSU whilst laughing at us proletariat.

He who pays the piper calls the tune.

It is corporations and boosters that are bankrolling the Tiger Athletic Foundation, which makes improvements to the football program, which leads to great recruits and coaches coming to LSU. And the power they wield is not imaginary, it's what sustains the program.

The voice of regular fans matter too, especially the ones paying for season tickets, because that's the financial base of any college football program, but you can't pretend that these corporations and boosters haven't earned free tickets and some deference. They in large part have helped the program become successful, and the surest way to harm the program is to ignore them.

I left early because I was tired of watching Jennings run out over and over and seeing us in the stupid power i. I also can only take watching an arse beating for so long

Also, on the music, they're obviously trying to appeal to everyone attending the games. I'm not a big fan of rap, but the reality is that a lot of younger people like it. Me personally, I'm happy with the band and just a little piped-in music, but I understand they're trying to touch everyone's musical preferences in the stadium.

The main reason is roaming the sideline.

If LSU fell into another Curley Hallman era, some of you guys would cut your own throats. But most people wouldn't care.

Amazing how whiney the fans are because of offensive formations.

To clarify: offense clicking = Cam is doing a great job

Offense sucking = fire Les

Not being to play all the old band songs because of things like STTDB has hurt the atmosphere a lot

Lots of "I's" in there, how do you think the players felt seeing you leave early?

Agreed!

Another funny thing that I have never witnessed before since we've had season tickets since 1998- a guy on a LSU golf cart comes to our tailgate to tell us to take down a tent that in the RV lot across from the stadium. It was green and had the company name written in white. He said no branding is allowed! He let us keep the tent up, but it can not be used again. He got on his phone to report this to someone.

So unless you are giving money to LSU, you can not show any company names or logo's! We also noticed a ladder next to the L'Auberge casino RV and they had to cover their logo with a black sheet!

I cannot fault a single fan for leaving early.

I can. Two guys in our section left at the end of the 1st Quarter

The 15000 or so who stayed to the end saw what was almost the most incredible comeback in LSU history. A shitty as the team played last night, they never quit. I can't say the same for most of the "fans."

I hate to say this but what LSU needs is Kirby Smart at HC. He will instill the discipline necessary for the team to get back to championship form.

I agree. an unproven DC would do wonders at LSU as a first time head coach. much better than the winningest coach in LSU history.

When the college game atmosphere turns into nothing more than NFL lite, we're we'll lose one of the main things that makes college football so great.

If you are paying attention, that is where things are heading. Five large superconferences, paying players etc. The college game I grew up watching is no more. It is just morphing into an NFL lite farm system. Once again, all driven by the almighty dollar. The only thing anyone in this country cares about anymore.

At this point I'm ok with the head coach, not that it really matters. The atmosphere of the stadium has changed drastically since I started going to games in the late 1960's. Over a period of time, things got less homey and the college atmosphere inside the stadium started getting slowly compromised. The piped in hip hop trash is an insult to the older fans. The prices of everything including the tickets have skyrocketed over the years. I let my tickets go this past season with the last price increase. While I could have financially afforded them, it is hard to justify the expenditure when I can sit in my den and watch the games on a 60" screen, and lot have to listen to that trash piped in music or frick with the traffic. I can and do still take in a live game a year and those tickets can be found fairly easily.

For those who are pushing to make college football more like the NFL I have a suggestion. Go attend the fricking NFL games. I did for awhile and got turned off, but that is what some want, so the Saints, Texans, and Cowboys are all within reasonable driving distance. College football is a lot about tradition (or at least it used to be). Let it keep its own identity.

Spot on, except I didn't start going until the early 70's. You hit every point exactly. The only thing I differ on is going to a game each year. It's such a turn off from what it used to be. You're right, its become just like an NFL game, and NFL = TRASH !

Never? Way to go, old man. Too bad 18-22 year olds love hip-hop and it gets them hyped up. Be real.
