Kansas/Missouri was basically a BCSNCG elimination game.

Let THAT sink in for a while.

Dennis Dixon was the frontrunner for the Heisman and Oregon was no.2 BCS...until his knee crumpled in that November Thursday night game against Arizona and Jonathon Stewart got hurt too

And wasn't Cal ranked no. 1 for like 20 mins and then blew it?

Since I started watching in 92, nothing comes close to 07.

The winner still had to play Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game.

All bias aside, '07 was hands down the most exciting college football season for me. Going into every weekend you had NO IDEA what was going to happen. All you could do was sit back and enjoy the eventual chaos that you were about to witness.

-Matt Ryan had Boston College at #2 in the BCS at one point
-WVU had Pat White and Steve Slaton (We all know where they were before the Wannstache struck)
-USF was #2
-The Big East was actually entertaining to watch on Thursdays and Fridays.
-Kentucky got as high as #7 (BCS)
-I remember thinking how crazy it was to see South Carolina in the top 10 (Spurrier sustaining that success is another story in itself)
-Kansas went 12-1 and got as high as #2 in the BCS! Kansas! They are 23-52 since then.
-Missouri and W. Virginia were both one win away from playing each other in the National Championship game.

I've always liked college football but that season had me so intrigued, I couldn't peel my eyes away from the TV for more than 10 minutes every Saturday. It was so damn entertaining.

Just look at the initial BCS rankings that year. USF @ #2, BC @ #3, Kentucky @ #7...

And most importantly, Georgia fans are still rustled about getting jumped in the final BCS rankings.

But the winner was jumping to #1 after the LSU loss. Kansas could have been the #1 FOOTBALL team in December.

I cannot even fathom that.

If WVU doesn't lose, the Big Ten would have a much better reputation in regards to the SEC.

Ohio State would have played WVU and probably beaten them handily if Rich Rod's record vs Ohio State is any indication.

Ha, funny, WVU said the same thing about Ohio St.

I was just telling someone that if they did a 30 for 30 about championship Saturday going chronologically from when ESPN reported that morning that Les Miles was going to Michigan to LSU jumping to BCS #2, it would be the best 30 for 30 ever.

That would be badass. I remember I was too nervous to watch the Pitt/West Virginia game, so I was just following it on espn game cast.

I think it was 13-7 Pitt and they took a safety to make it 13-9. I remember seeing West Virginia's score start to change and I was freaking out thinking they had scored a defensive touchdown somehow.
