I'm in the minority on this but I think their food is overpriced and overrated.

But this is a case of punishing someone for having a religious viewpoint they don't like, even though he never forced that viewpoint on anyone else. It's this district that is trying to force its values on everyone--which makes them no better than Sanatorium.

Man, we get it. Liberals love to act as thought police. That's what he was saying. That's what we're all saying. Quit proving the point.

I'll wait for Christmas and get a peppermint shake. Maybe...it's good but I'm not sure it's worth fighting Highway 49 traffic

I'm all for anybody having and freely expressing whatever personal beliefs they have without government interference.

I'm also for people using whatever criteria they want to decide where to spend their hard-earned money.

Its called freedom. What a wonderful thing.

I agree, but don't call yourself "inclusive" and "diverse" when you have just as much (if not more) discrimination, bias, and prejudice as anyone else.

Agree. If you don't like the Cathys, boycott their business. I saw a thread on FARK several years ago where a couple of libs said they boycott Chick-Fil-A for closing on Sundays. Stupid but it's their right.

Difference here is it's a government entity.

You can be mad about it but your logic is weak. There are plenty of groups that deserve to be excluded. CFA probably isn't one of then, but their stances make some people mad.

So they should consider taking free sandwiches from the Nazi's, KKK and NAMBLA lest the be perceived as having prejudice? Sorry but the fact is that CFA made some anti-gay marriage statements, why should the school ignore that when there are lots of sandwiches who do not discriminate.

Giving money to lobbying groups is by definition trying to force your view on others.

Dude...the CEO said it, not CFA, and the comment wasn't made at a shareholder's meeting. His views do not reflect that of CFA as a result. He was asked his opinion on gay marriage and he gave it.

And the fact that you compared his views to those of the Nazi Party tell me everything I need to know about your intelligence.

IDK, I think that depends. If a local business owner professes to being a total racist, am I being intolerant or prejudice if I spread the word to all my friends to avoid his business and not give him any of your money? I know this isn't a perfect analogy, but I think you get my overall point.

A nation of sissies. Who would have ever thought a chicken sandwhich company would cause so much political controversy.

And that's it. Statements and personal charity donations.

Chick fil A, as a company, does not discriminate. Sandwiches themselves are incapable of discrimination.

The only problem is thoughts expressed by one guy. There is no discrimination.

No, it really isn't. The views of a CEO do not necessarily reflect the views of a company. Case in point, CFA employs quite a few homosexuals.

I could be the biggest bigot in the world but I have a business to run and need to make money. I'm going to employ anyone and everyone if they can help me turn a profit.
