He was a TPOS. That's how he ended up at ULM. Word was he shot a cop and to stay outta jail he couldn't leave the state. Was supposed to go to ole miss I think.

I do remember an incident involving Potts, a shotgun and the police.

That dude was bad! It was fun to watch him run. I forget who drafted him. He didn't last long in the NFL though.

Did Roymon Malcolm do much at Auburn (I think that's where he went)
Malcolm got hurt at Auburn and never did crack the starting lineup. He passed away recently. He was a nice guy.

He lived with a bail bondsman. I knew the son of the bail bondsman. His name was Mitch. That all I got.

JOE PROFIT played RB at NLU in the late 60s / early 70s. He was a GREAT player. Drafted #6 overall by Atlanta (1st round). about 6'0, 200+ (big RB at the time) & ran 9.5 100 yard dash (consistant). He was a Jr when I was a 17 yr. old Fr. (I weighed about 175) he ran over me more than once in practice. Hurt his knee as a pro & was never the same. He now owns a mega communications firm in Atlanta. Very nice man.

We played against Rayville in the playoffs his senior year. Our biggest/toughest linebacker met him in the hole on the first play from scrimmage. After he got knocked off his feet (never happened before) I knew our season was over.
