Cheers, easily. Never liked Frasier all that much.

For me, cheers by a long shot. Not only is it better than Frasier but it's better than 95% of shows since it aired.

favorite Sitcom as far back as I can remember watching television was Cheers...even at 6 years old when I found out Coach died I can remember being upset. Cheers and its not even close.

Woody - What's going on Mr. Peterson?

Norm - Let's talk about what's going IN Mr. Peterson!

I prefer Frasier more than Cheers. It's close though. I loved Cheers a lot. I think I just like Frasier much more as the main character than Sam.

Fraiser Crane is my favorite sitcom character of all time.

I almost could have started this thread and written the OP.

Tough call - each show had their moments, as well as really strong casts. I'm more of an intellectual, so I enjoy the earlier seasons of Frasier more than I do the later seasons of Cheers. In the end, though, too close to call for me.

When it was at its best, Frasier was probably better. However, Cheers was just a little more consistent until the very end - I thought each show stayed about a season, season and a half too long.

While I like Frasier, it has not aged well and today would look no different than the garbage that CBS has been selling for decades.
this is just wrong. Frasier was never a top show when it ran and has only gotten bigger in syndication.

Frasier. I like Cheers, but I roll with laughter when I watch Frasier.

Cheers was cooler and better overall but Frazier was very witty.

Frasier.

Cheers was good, but Frasier is one of a handful of shows that can make me laugh out loud repeatedly. Most shows that are comedies might elicit a smile or slight chuckle. Frasier is one of my favorite shows of all time.

Cheers...it holds up.

And is a gang of characters.

Frasier is great but one-note.

The same, the same, the same...two weird bros.

I am actually surprised it worked so well and lasted so long. That Cheers could spin-off a show like this.

Cheers.

Especially before Coach passed away. The episode where he showed he could get hit by any pitch was classic.
