You take what the defense gives you. No defense is perfect.
But I'm sure that the offensive brain trust at LSU knows that.
So far the best option has been to hit deep.
I guess some of you want to see the 6 yard slant over a 30 yard touchdown. I don't know why.

Jennings has completed those. I honestly don't see what you people are talking about.

?

Who are you referring to? A&M? Auburn? Bama? Moo State?

None of those are elite. Landon Collins will be an All-American, but there CBs have looked less than stellar. Oklahoma and West Virginia were able to expose them.

I will say this from sitting in my favorite section 638 seats, I could see the field on pass plays. Jennings is going for Dural a lot, it's worked out well but read through the progressions. The reason..... Quinn, Diarse and the TEs were route running the shite out of the defense and open all over the field. Looking off the deep ball and going over the middle will bring the safety's up and boom the deep ball is there.

Just my two cents.

WANTING to see a short and intermediate passing attack, wanting to see the ball get spread around, wanting to see well executed screen passes is NOT complaining about what has been done so far.

Quit complaining about people complaining when they are not actually complaining.

I don't disagree with you, but the deep ball is working to help us score quickly. With inexperience at the QB position, I think Cam and Les are very excited when we can score without having to take a high number of snaps.

Now the screen game we have seen and it looks terrible. THAT"S the area where I would like to see big improvement this week.

Execution of screens to the RBs.

I'll go with this as it will be needed to counter those blitz packages we will face.

I'm not talking about the Wisconsin game smart arse. Obviously the coaches didn't show much of anything that game because of inexperience til late. I'm talking about last Saturday and the cupcake coming this saturday. The thread title says What WOULD you like to see from Jennings. That's future tense pal not past tense. Talking about where people like me come from. Maybe you should learn to comprehend a statement before you go blabbing like your a genius.

Posted by tlsu15 I feel like the "we need to work on the short passing game because the longball won't always be there!" argument is this year's version of "we need to develop a 3rd receiver!". How about we let someone stop us from throwing bombs on them before we decide it's If the big play is there and you have guys capable of making it, keep doing it. I don't get why you guys always have to complain.

I agree.

Maybe they have been working those in practice and don't wanna show too much too early against cupcakes.

My point is I think we already have those in the arsenal but there is no need to show our hand yet. When someone proves they can stop the deep ball. Start tearing them up in the middle of the field. I have no doubt jennings can make them pay.

This. It would be a nice compliment to the offense to have an effective screen game. Works for the Saints.

One of the most impressive things out of LF so far were the catches he made against SHSU. Would be nice to see that continue.

Wow. I think you missed your calling as a coach. We all appreciate your opinion. I'm fairly certain all LSU fans would like to see Jennings throw for 400 yards a game. Grow up dude. Welcome to the real world. God doesn't love you and LSU would rather run than pass. Welcome to big boy football. Go make a love child with the Big 12.

I don't give a shite about anything you said. I didn't even read it.

I just want LSU to win by 31+ points.

FYI for the thread, Jennings' yrds per comp is 26.6, which would be intermediate.
