It has a photo sensor, on dusk till dawn.

The gar will start coming in while it is getting dark. They normally stack up early in the evening and very few fish left come morning. I think they have their fill and head off to rest...

He set that light up at the Beer Fest at Delacroix and a guy came and took his extension cord that wick stole
