Would the Imaginationland special count as one episode?

Imaginationland is by far the most obvious.

It is very accessible to the Family Guy etc crowd.

See, as much as Tenorman is the quintessential South Park episode, it's almost too dark for a first watch.

I agree with you on that. You really need to have to watch a few episodes before you jump into the Tenorman episode or you could get the wrong idea of what South Park is truly about.

I agree with this one.

Cartman Gets an Anal Probe - the 1st real episode (I don't count the Christmas thing that started it as episode 1) really let's you know what the show is truly about.

Christ, why does everyone want to show the older stuff, I'd go with Mexican Staring Frog of Sri Lanka or Pinkeye.

I agree, a lot of the older stuff doesn't hold up that well.

They got a lot sharper as time went on, and some of the stuff in the past 6-8 seasons or so is way, way better.

Ummm, because the early ones were awesome? Plus they had Chef in them and that is reason enough.

The Cartman Gets an Anal Probe is the perfect opening episode for South Park. Plus, how are you going to know to look for the hidden aliens in the rest of the episodes if you don't watch the first one?

BTW if anyone is interested, here is a link to it: Link

Eh. Most of them haven't aged that well. They relied far more on shock value, stupid humor, fart jokes and the like back then.

Complety disagree I think the newer ones are to related to current events and age a lot worse. It's like the simpsons 3-7 are the best seasons

Lots of good choices you can't go wrong with, but I would pick either the Scott Tenorman episode or the baseball episode where the boys try to lose on purpose.
