Gaming Mouse Suggestions?
Posted on 8/26/14 at 3:02 pm

I'm looking to upgrade my current Logitech gaming mouse (from nearly 8-10 years ago).
Currently deciding between:
Logitech G602
Logitech G700
Anyone use either of these mice? Other suggestions?
I've looked at some Razer's bit I didn't care for the feel.

They've always felt too small/light in my hands.

I've felt the same way about Razers, too. I'm just a logitech fanboy. I like being able to add weights to my mouse. I always max out the weight.
Does it have to be wireless? I fricking hate these wireless rechargeables with a passion because of the battery life. I can get a year's worth of use from a wireless mouse that takes two AA batteries, and 12 hours before I'm out of juice on a rechargeable, and god forbid you forget to turn it off manually.
Definitely no on the G700 unless you like charging it every couple of days or just want to keep it plugged in. The G602 battery life is more tolerable and has better power-saving functions, but by far the best type of mouse is one that requires zero thought or maintenance.
The G500s is a crowd favorite. I used its predecessor, the G500, for a long time. I'm now using a G9x nowadays but those are hard to get anymore. I am intrigued by the G502. I might pick one up soon. Or the G402.

Not necessarily. So long as I can actually hardwire it in case I forget to charge it, I'm okay with that.
I actually liked the way the 602 felt versus the 700.
The G500 is essentially what I have now (I think I have it's much older brother) and I have loved it. Just want to try something new.

Logitech G600
This is the one I have...but I do a lot of MMO games that require multiple hotbars and stuff. being able to have 24 button clicks at my thumb is amazing (although it does take a bit of getting used to). Mine is wired though...have always preferred wired to wireless in my mouse.

Then between those two, I'd definitely pick the G602. If you get a chance, look at the G402 and G502 and see how they stack up against it. Not sure if there are any stores where you can actually try them though if they aren't at best buy.

This, if you can find it for the original price of $50

You can find them all over the place for under that

well, then I suppose it would be a good idea to buy one.

I like my SteelSeries Diablo III mouse. It's cheesy, sure, but I think it's a great mouse.
Also, don't buy a wireless mouse for gaming.

I googled G500 and this is what came up. The one on the far right is what I have.
The G502 they had out at Best Buy. I liked the feel of it as well. I really don't think I can go wrong with any of the three choices I'm considering.
FYI, for those interested, they do have the following mice at Best Buy to try out.
G700S
G600
G602
G502
They had a couple Razer's there as well.
I also really like the Razer keyboard they had over the logitech.

I had the G500 for years, right click went out because I have a habit of clicking it way too often. Replaced it with G500s, just as good, clicks feel a little more crisp.
Highly recommended.
