Question is based on talent/skill set. Nothing to do with LSU.

So you just want the saints to sign some random no name fullback that was cut from another team?

New formation: 2 FB in the backfield, one in the slot, blocking TE's on the outside. Who do you cover?

Plus I'd rather a guy who has good technique

Sounds like a good formation on 4th and 1. Other than that.....

Other players with similar talent/skill sets we should look at include Jacob hester, Craig Steltz, and Kadron Boone.

Not to mention that the guy can't control his emotions whatsoever. As a FB, you don't add that much value to the team (speaking honestly). So, there is no reason you should be getting multiple unnecessary roughness flags consistently.

Copeland Highlights Yep he was a terrible player. Never made any exciting plays. LSU should have cut him.

Yea because I said he sucked and LSU should have cut him...

Oh and that was a 45 second highlight tape from a guy that played a lot for 3 years at LSU. I could make a longer tape that showed his bad plays, missed blocks, fouls, fumbles, and drops.

Like I said, Copeland is a 1 dimensional fullback that can only block between the A and B gap... thats it. Sure hes a hard hitter, but that doesnt mean hes a great fullback or even an effective blocker. He struggles on the edge and in space. And hes not good enough of an athlete to play on special teams. And also lost his starting spot at LSU to a walk on fullback who is just flat out better. Neighbors has a better chance at making a NFL roster than Copeland. Neighbors is a more complete fullback and football player. He is just as effective blocking up the middle and is a much better blocker on the edge and in open space. He also has way better hands and doesnt commit stupid penalties. And is a better athlete and could play special teams.

Oh also, fullback is a dying position. Now a days, the fullback is more like an old school HB and has to be versatile. Since teams dont use a fullback as much as they used to, you have to be able to contribute in diff ways, like the passing game and on special teams which means you have to be pretty damn athletic. Its way more than just a blocking position now. Only 14 fullbacks played at least 50% of the snaps, and only 3 played at least 75% of snaps. Mike Tolbert played the most snaps out of all fullbacks at 606 total snaps. And Tolbert can play RB, catch, special teams, etc. Marcel Reece is the new prototype fullback in the NFL IMO. And he was a converted WR that ran a 4.4 40 and can play RB, FB, WR, TE, and special teams.
