I would think the University of Houston could have this potential. They have had some high points in their history. With the instate talent if they could get a coach to not treat it as a stepping stone job. It could have the same potential as the University of Miami.

Good pick. State school, R1 budget. Academic standards are favorable for athletes. Sitting on a hotbed of talent in Houston and East Texas.
Their problem is that they've been consistently excluded from the Big Boy conferences since the demise of the old SWC. It is not in any other team's interest to let Houston develop serious recruiting pipelines - including LSU, frankly.

I think I know what you're hinting at, and it's getting me kinda excited.

I don't think Houston will ever get huge because of those reasons, and the big conferences being able to poach any successful coach Houston may have. Texas and Texas A&M will definitely never allow UH to get big.

Syracuse. Theyve had some incredible players/teams and a big population base to draw from. no reason they shouldnt be better.
