I just hit the new Cane's on Carrollton Ave. This is the first time I have picked up a hot poultry box since about '05 in college.

Assinclass used to give me the hookup at Bailey's.
He worked there in college. I wish Bailey's would have taken off instead of Todd's famous nuggets.

No he's not, maybe a little arrogant at the most. The dude is incredibly successful, and normally to be that successful you have to be a little bit arrogant.
I eat Cane's maybe once every 2 or 3 weeks and I have no complaints.
I wish BR had more KFC's, and I wish that the Popeyes and KFC's we're run at least as half as good as Cane's.

What I heard was they could not get their supply chain to scale at the rate they were scaling as a franchise. There were only a few suppliers who could provide chicken that was not frozen. I'm not in that industry, but I believe it is a gas flush method before sealing. Either way, the quality is obviously dropping off. The chicken was tough and tiny. shite, even the fries were much skimpier than in the past. You can't blame that on lack of potato supply. I'm guessing maybe they are starting to work in new suppliers and measure complaints?

Damn that sucks. Ate at one here in Houston a few weeks back and the chicken pieces were huge.

Couple of things, i was under the impression that they cut their french fries in store and dont use frozen precut ones. As far as the styrofoam making everything so soggy i always have said that its because they cook to order and everything is so hot it steams in the box , but if you eat in the restaurant you have to wait 10 minutes for it to cool off.
That being said, i think Canes is decent but very overpriced .
