I'm not, but I had a friend with a fear of flying. He had to take a cross country flight so he took two xanax. Next thing he remembered was landing in Atlanta, and the gentleman next to him said, "it has been a pleasure flying with you today sir"

No I am not a huge vag. I sleep better on planes than in a bed and I only fly once a month.

I don't mind planes, but I can NEVER sleep on them. Even if I'm tired there is always some fricking baby sitting behind me. My last flight I fell asleep for an hour, only to wake up to them telling us to get off the plane because they didn't know what was wrong with it

I have to be really tired to sleep on the plane. Too worried I'll be caught drooling or something while I sleep

I have never been able to sleep on a plane. Flying doesn't bother me in the least, I just can't seem to get comfortable regardless where I sit.

Drink before you fly and while you fly. Takes the edge off.

I've never flown in a commercial plane, flew in a 5 person plane 1 time remember it not being that bad. I think I'd be a little scared the first time I fly again.

I used to be cool with it, and then for some reason I couldn't stand it. It was rough. But then I found the obvious...alcohol. It's awesome. I absolutely love flying when I can drink right before. The key is timing the effects with take-off. I first get there and drink a double or two, and then get one of the strongest craft beer to take with me in the line. Sure, they can't let you take it out, but you can usually get a paper coffee cup to fill it and then walk out. They either don't see or don't care. Just don't ask, or don't tell them what you want it for. Worst case, ask for a water to go and either drink it or dump it out if you can.

Alcohol changes the whole perspective of flying.

Bullcrap! I have flown a good bit, and I still am afraid every time. I just deal with my fear. Sometimes I have borderline panic attacks, but I pop a few Benadryls and that calms me down.

Afraid? Nah.

But do I think about the possibility of a plane crash with me on board? Absolutely.

Never flew till the first day of military flight school, U.S. Army.

I am afraid of heights and many pilots I flew helicopters with were. We all learned to accept and TRUST the equipment. Just like you trust your car or any other sophisticated piece of machinery.

A mild sedative the first couple times might help, people do drink onboard

I like the actual flying. Something about hauling arse @ 33k feet in an aluminum tube is kind of fun. I even enjoy the sudden drops in altitude. Butterflies in the stomach are a cool feeling.

Not a fan of layovers, delays, or like last week, sitting on the plane at the gate for 3 hours.

Not flying. It's the taking off and landing that I don't like. I figure that the pilots don't want to die either.
