They'll live and die by their front 7.
Cam is too inconsistent. He get widely in accurate at times, and will completely be a non-factor in games for long stretches. I got tagged team on twitter last night about this from TT and diddydirtyaubie, and they were like "he improved all 3 years" and "3-1 against the Saints the past 2 years."
First off, if you look at his career numbers, they're very similar, except his passing attempts have gone down each year. Has he improved? Yes. Is he remarkably better than his rookie year? No. The biggest factor to his success has been the vast improvement of the defense, which has one of the best front 7's in the league.
Secondly, congratulations on sweeping the Saints in 2012. That's quite a feet.

They had the advantage of playing the NFC west last year who played to their strengths.
I'm interested in seeing how their D fares against the NFC North's passing attack

Interesting that playing the NFC West is an advantage. That's a tough division. I can't wait to see Roman Harper back there in coverage though.

The Patriots-Saints game and Patriots-Carolina game both fricked the Saints hard

Well both teams had to play the NFC West. I would consider the NFC West offenses to be run oriented, and that is the strength of the Panthers. The Saints pass defense was its strength
They also didn't have to play @Seattle on MNF with Seattle coming off a bye week.

but we still lost to Seattle in week one so the results against the Seahawks had little bearing on who won the south

Why let facts get in the way of a good narrative?

Except that we may have beaten them in the Dome...

So SEA on the road = SEA at home?
You realize that the Saints had a stronger SOS than the Panthers

and you barely beat the 49ers at home, and we had to play them on the road
maybe the Saints would've lost to them had they played in San Fran
ifs, ifs, ifs

We may have. That is a much more winnable game IMO.
You're also ignoring my entire point of that original post

Are you going to add anything or just continue to be a child?
The Saints had the #10 SoS last year. The Panthers had the #17 SoS last year. I'm sorry you can't grasp that FACT.

Whatever dude. I'm not the one making excuses for a loss and saying it would've been completely different had the game been played elsewhere.

yes, because you guys had to play the Cowboys and Bears, two 8-8 teams, while we played the Giants and Vikings
you also realize we won against the two teams not on each other's schedule so this fact also wouldn't change how the South ended up
oh, and facing the Panthers and their 12 wins increases your SOS slightly over us playing 11 win Saints
sorry we couldn't play ourselves

Are the panthers really that significantly worse off at WR this year in comparison to last year?
I don't think the difference is that substantial.
