I was thinking it was more about raising awareness.

My wife works in fundraising for a non-profit, and she says it more eloquently than I do, but the trick to fundraising is to use their own narcissism to get them to donate.

right you need to challenge a guys manhood and the fact that he can then challenge another guy to do what he did plays perfectly into our egos.

She deals with wealthy people in the area, and they're very concerned about their public imagine, so the pitch has to address that.

With the cold water challenge, I think it's more about "I'm in a video. Look at my face." I know that sounds cynical and mean, and perhaps it is. I just don't like how self involved people are becoming. Maybe it's always been this way, but now technology is such as it's just in your face all the time.

At the same time, I realize I tend to be hyper-critical, and it's ugly. I'm working on that.

Ok so I was thinking we should all do this and post videos or pics from twitter, youtube, photobucket, etc...here in a thread. However, I was just thinking about doing the videos and not really throwing money into it.

Roddy white wore a fricking shower cap and dumped in half a bag of ice a second before he did it. Doesnt count.

Ryan did the same thing and had a hat on which just deflected all the water. Also doesnt count.

I will do the cold water challenge for Change of Paws, which is a charity that provides gender reassignment surgery for inner city pets.
