You don't?? Pick up so much more the second time, besides you can advance or backup for certain plays.

Yeah, I agree. I watch the game the first time drunk or close to it. I then have to sober up the next day, and watch it the day after that. Old Saints fan wisdom, don't watch a Saints game live while sober.

Just got to watch. (DVR somehow effed up and it just replayed this AM)

The running game looks really good, which hopefully translates to more success on the road/outdoors.

On the first TD, the announcers calle out Lofton but I agree that Hawthorne seemed to be the culprit.

SJB reports were accurate, great size but needs a good bit of polishing.

My god they are calling everything on the defensive secondary they can.

Tyrun Walker needs to get more snaps,

Greg Williams looks ridiculous with the goatee.

Damn Cooks looks legit.

Anyone concerned about the constant hands to the face penalties?

I'm not usually this guy, but how can you call yourself a fan if you haven't watched the Super Bowl at least 3 times?

I've watched the SB about 5 times, and that Cardinals win twice. Will never re-watch the Vikings game. I know we end up winning, but I know that I'll still get sick to the stomach for the entire second half/OT. They were definitely better than the Colts that year.

It was a weird play because it looked liked Hawthorne had man on the HB and Lofton had under zone. Hawthorne was more to the outside and should have played contain, but it's hard to tell who was truly at fault without knowing the play call.

There are plays where the defense will leave the FB free, but that shouldn't be called in the red zone.

On the hands to the face issue, nah it happens. The one on Deadrick(I think) looks like he did it intentionally, but sometimes your hand just slides up.

On the defensive passing penalties, we actually had the fewest combined defensive holding and illegal contact penalties last year with just 2(for holding). Minus White's 2 or 3(or 20?) pass interference calls last year, we played very clean on the back end. I have no doubt we'll be okay again this year. Other teams are going to have a much harder time with it.

I'm worried that the league stressed these rules in response to Seattles style of play but the refs will in fact hold the Seahawks in such high esteem that they will continue getting away with it while the rest of the Leagues pays the price.

The league will one day be made up of nothing but speedsters. If you can't use strength to your advantage as a defender then it becomes all about positioning and recovery speed.

Nah they flagged the frick out of them in their first preseason game. Seattle is the main reason they are doing this and if anything they will get more calls for it than anyone.

It should be concerning that the Seahawks were not one of the teams that the NFL mentioned when it revealed how they were going to be more strict on DPI.

I found SF was getting flagged nearly every other play!!

Literally one of the Seahawks TD drives was all penalty yards

I think zone coverage will be more important this year.
