the black citizens of Ferguson started all of this crap. The rest was deserved because of how fricking ignorant the citizens of Ferguson looked.

I'm wondering why Dorian Johnson didn't get arrested if he was a suspect.

Funny thing is many were quick to believe the officer confronted him with that tone. He still may have but highly doubtful.
Oh I wouldn't doubt he still used that tone. But now the picture has changed and the question is, was such a tone justified? I'd say so based on information available so far.

not getting into it again... but I do want to point out that per that stat, only 25% of police killings are white on black (96 of 400).... Clearly the minority issue :P
agree. I ONLY put it out there to show that the FBI has numbers that DO coincide with the numbers that were thrown around.
That's all

of the 400 how many are not justified?

In extenuating circumstances, the DA may move not to press charges for a crime.

Honestly, I dont really care about the Brown guy, more details will surface as this goes on which should clear things up a bit
I'm more pissed off about the militarization aspect of law enforcement, and I'm glad its being brought to light more in the media. It sucks that it took this incident to take place before mainstream picked it up, but hopefully some good can come out of this in that regard.
Exactly. Let the investigation into the shooting run its course and see what facts come out.
The militarized response by this stupid PD is well documented - should be discussed separately from the wrongful death issue.

Here's a thought. Arguably, Dorian Johnson could be arrested for felony murder. If you are involved in the commission of a felony and someone dies (I believe even if it is a co-actor), then the others involved in the commission of that felony can be charged with murder. I suppose this is where the significance of the charge (Strong armed robbery) could be significant.

here is where you say the cops shouldn't have confronted him and subsequently shot him...right?

I mean the cop pulled over to Brown and Johnson.
Or the days afterwards.

Been gone all am. What did I miss with the name release? Was the officer one who's name had been thrown out before? Any other info released?

He will be in due time. His name is in the police report as a suspect in the robbery

I have had the tone used on me.
A black cop (officer Greene, you still on the list) roughed me up good because I called him an a-hole for throwing a buddy of mine against a wall in section 613(also black) for not pulling his pants up.
I was charged with interfering with the police and given a Court date THE NEXT DAY. Then brought to the jail inside the superdome. Then escorted out the stadium. Then I just showed my stub and got right back in.
ADA dropped the charges the next day. I filed a formal complaint. Same OFFICER was one of the ones charges with theft of police property when he fled for Katrina.
(damn I realize I have a lot of police stories, and I never say the good ones either )

Police chief release a report about the robbery of a convenience store (not the one burned down). It contained 4 photos of a suspect (who is now confirmed to be Mike brown) pushing s tore clerk.
They also released the name of the cop who killed Mike Brown, Darren Wilson. But there two Darren Wilson and the wrong one was mistakenly perused.
