I went by last night and saw they put up the gate numbers 20-28, so I do think the big stuff is complete..

fwiw, I think the SEZ picture you posted looks tremendous.
I have a few complaints (cement blocks up top inside, great white wall of building), but overall the expansion looks great and from what I have read there are plans to make the couple minor issues look better.
Without a doubt, Tiger Stadium is looking bigger and better than ever...Which was the goal (along with the extra revenue).
There isn't a construction project in the history of mankind that couldn't have been done a little differently or a little better.
We started with this:
I approve.

I'm pretty sure the NEZ was painted to protect the concrete from staining when the student sections makes piss balloons. This isn't really an issue in the SEZ, and thus no paint was used.
But I could be wrong.

Maybe they figure it's too close to the season to start a new project, so let's get the area cleaned up and get ready for the season?

If any other major university piecemealed their stadium together, spending hundreds of millions of dollars in the process, we would be laughing at and mocking them.
From PVC pipe, to the large metal street gutter blinds, to the miss matched colors, to the large blank concrete wall, to the after thought looking concession pods/Lego blocks, it's ridiculous that some of our fans are good with it just because it's LSU.
