Yeah I love my 6.7 too, I do need a diesel but even if I didn't I doubt I'd go back to half ton

See, I kinda need to step up to a 3/4, but the thought of a 3/4 as my daily drive and parking one around here frightens me.

GM had some big time problems when they switched over to AFM truck engines. I don't think they were ever recalled, but it was the type of deal where they knew about the issue, but kept wanting to take baby steps to fix it. I wouldn't own a 2007-2009 5.3

Same here, while a 1/2 ton could likely handle my towing needs, it can't handle it like my 3/4 ton can.

Sure. Chevrolet never sold a disposable motor.

How anybody who owned a 6.4 can keep going back to/defending Ford is mind blowing. That was a 100k mile disposable motor and ford knew it and sold it to you anyway to bridge the gap to the 6.7

They know their fan base well. A guy I worked with was a ford blowhard and swore up and down he never had a single issue with his truck, while it was in the shop.

Ford=Junk
every 5.3l motor between 2005-2008 in every GM manufactured truck had lifter, camshaft issues that GM knew about and refused to do anything about any of them.
The fricking cylinder heads had to come off the goddamn motor to access the lifters.
Camshaft lobes were rubbing clean the frick off.

Show me another motor where you have to completely disassemble the motor to access a collapsed lifter.

And that's just one.
How about the traction control light coming on because a fricking throttle body position sensor requiring the entire throttle body assembly to be replaced? Huh?

You'll adapt, I have little to no issue parking my 3/4 ton CC/SW almost as easy as the F150's I've driven.

It is a change. If insurance wasnt so high, I would keep an older 7.3 or 5.9 3/4 ton and have a little tacoma or something for my daily driver. Just easier to run around in my 3/4 ton though.

If I had another place to park, I'd keep a beater 3/4 and drive a frikin car to work.

I know of a few that have had no such issues.

One had 160k miles on it and only burned a few coils and plug wires at about 100k. Otherwise no issues.

Of all the people I know who drive chevrolets, none of them have had these problems.
