It's nice to see that the Louisiana beer scene has advanced to the point that a brewery like Lagunitas coming to the state is met with a solid "meh"

Louisiana is a unique microcosm of the craft beer scene. It defies most logic. I believe theres a reason not many breweries enter the Louisiana market, its because nobody can figure out WTF is going on over there. I certainly cannot.

The problem with Louisiana's beer scene is lack of in state breweries that can distribute to the entire state.

As much as like that Lagunitas coming to this market, 75% of their beers will be shelf turds within 6 months. Stone's year round line up gathers dust on the shelves here and most other breweries beers will do the same.

I'd much rather have a good in state brewery getting that shelf space (Great Raft) than have it taken up by an out of state brewery on the off chance that we get Sucks for three months a year.
