located in Tylertown/S. McComb area right off I-55 exit 15.
I heard you sit at a large table with about 12-20 other people and food is served on a large lazy susan. There are known for their fried eggplant. They are also open 11-2 and you must make reservations for dinner.
Curious to hear if it is worth going?

wasn't very good then. just timeless country home cooking, which to be fair, cannot be that good by its very nature. fried chicken is their big main dish, and i think popeye's is better.

It's getting worse and worse. They don't have a lot of the good stuff anymore, or at least not when I've been. The fried eggplant is good, but not worth the trip alone unless you're passing by anyway. The fried chicken is pretty good sometimes. The chicken and dumplings were down right terrible the last time I was there. The sweet potato casserole is good, but very very sweet. Think Cracker Barrel lazy susan style. Everything is pretty much straight from a can with a little help thrown in and really poor quality meat.
It's also logistically a pain. You've got all these people spinning the damn table around as fast as they can and grabbing at food like heathens.
The best day is probably Sunday. But you've got to get there before church lets out. When they open is probably best.
Reservations for dinner would have to be a massive group.
When you leave they almost always ask you "if you got enough?' Not if you actually enjoyed what you stuffed yourself with. That kind of sums it up right there.
Edited to say: if you're into cleanliness, it's probably not the place for you. The place itself could you a really good scrubbing. And you're watching the strangers at the table stick their fingers in the bowls while they're grabbing at the bowls as they spin past. The only reason they can still do the lazy susan style buffet is because they're grandfathered in from health codes because it's been in continuous operation by the same family.
There's a similar place in Jackson, without the lazy susans, with much better food. I forget the name. But I'm sure someone from there can chime in.

Went when I was like 9 and thought it was cool. Wouldn't want to go back now though

It's in McComb--almost downtown. It was great when the Lopintos were running it but was sold a few years ago. It is basically a buffet where you can serve yourself without getting up. Assuming there have been no significant changes, the food is good and fresh.

There is so much fail in this statement, I needed to preserve it for ridicule .

And I know nothing of this place, but if you hit the round table for lunch at Walnut Hill in Vicksburg, you're in for a memorable treat, assuming one knows good food.

It's worth going. Not sure why it's getting so much hate on here. And props for the usual trolling runningTiger.

I've been.
Don't go
It may be good for that area but compared to anywhere else, it's terrible.

I should have added that. It's not worth a trip just for it, but I eat there when I'm on the way home from Percy Quinn State Park.

Golden Corral is close and better. DB features bland county food and doesn't even allow you to gag in privacy. It's a buffet where the hogs can sit at the trough.

This board is comical sometimes.

I have family in that area and they would consider this place a nice meal and might even wash their hands before going.
It really doesn't sound like a place I would like, but did hear that it was pretty good back in the day.

That's funny right there. The GC in McComb sucks. I live about 15 minutes west of McComb and although I have never been to the dinner bell I can comment on GC. The kids like it but we refuse to go because of the cleanliness and nastiness of the guests.

I can't recall the name, but I think the owner/owners are LSU folks. Never been there.

Two Sisters Kitchen has better food without the lazy susans.
The Round Table in Columbia MS is the same as Dinner Bell but with better fried chicken.
